Dudley House Days

This is for me more than anything. I just wanted to capture my days home with Cayden. I try not to take anything for granted especially this time!!!
I just love being at home with Cayden. He is such a joy....really I am not partial or anything. Our days are filled with laughter, hugs, and kisses!! First thing in the morning Cayden will wake up and hop in our bed for one last snuggle! Will gets up for work about 30 minutes later...by this time Cayden and I are back to sleep. I try to get up, but sometimes it doesn't happen. I like to pray right when Will leaves for work for a safe day. Sometime between 730-800am Cayden will get up, go to the fridge get out his go-gurt. He loves it!! He can open it and everything! I will get up and make coffee for me and "coffee milk" for Cayden. Then it is morning cartoon time. We sit on the couch and snuggle some more......this is probably my favorite time. Cayden isn't fully awake and super duper sweet. I am lucky to get 30minutes! Then the famous words of Cayden, "Do you wanna play mommy?" We play whatever...trucks, cars, play dough, outside fun or whatever Cayden wants. I will usually break off during playtime and start cleaning or hop on the computer really quick. Then it is bath time!!!!
After Cayden's bath it is usually around 1100-1130. Time for lunch!! I start making lunch. Cayden likes to sit at the bar like a big boy. I let him pick out a cookie cutter to cut his sandwich if we are eating grilled cheese. Most of the time it is chicken nuggets and broccoli. We have a little time for more cartoons and then off to nap time.
If Cayden goes to sleep right away he will wake up around 300pm. I will usually try to have something planned after Cayden's snack. Some kinda project or special activity. He really loves to cook. Then we usually goof off until Daddy gets home from work.....then mommy doesn't exist anymore. Cayden drags daddy around to play various things soccer, basketball, baseball, again whatever Cayden wants.
After dinner it is time to settle down for bed. Cayden goes to sleep in our bed and we move him to his bed later.
These are my favorite days! Sure we have other activities we do and places we go, but these are the days that matter most. The ones I will cherish for a lifetime. I thank God for the opportunity for our most precious "House Days" filled with cars, laughter, love and kisses, dancing, singing, "break dancing", learning new things, talking, making faces, painting, coloring, molding clay, making cake, just enjoying life with a 2 year old!!!
