That's right, summer is gone! We got a letter saying that today was the last day the pool would be open :( . I am so sad. I have enjoyed my summer with Cayden so much. I am mad that I wasted so much time not going to the pool. I have really been trying to save money by not going anywhere. Cayden had been asking to go the beach and I'm not sure why I never took him. Will called me one afternoon and said why don't you just go to the pool? Duh, we have a pool in our neighborhood. I don't know why it never occurred to me (the pool is actually in another section of our neighborhood-they are going to eventually put one in our section of the neighborhood). I mean it's kinda silly, we pay every month to use it???!!! So it was on! Everyday at the pool. I would freeze apple juice or koolaid. Cayden would hop in his wagon with his "swwwweeet juicy" (frozen apple juice) and off we would go. Sometimes we would go to the playground and get nice and sweaty, then go wash off in the old people's pool (that is what we call it). :) It is a small pool and I am praying that are pool will be bigger. But we had a blast. Aunt Lola usually would come with us. Cayden loved swimming with her, not so much me. I guess I am kinda pushy. I am sure going to miss those days. Cayden learned to love the water, most definitely not a fish! He learned to float, blow bubbles, but most of all hold on real tight. I am very sad that these days are now behind us :(.
I did finally take my baby to the beach. He loved it. On the way we stopped to see the monster trucks and actually got to ride one. Once he got comfy, cayden ran and ran. He loves to run. I have never seen a kid that just practices running back and forth.....maybe a track star. I can't wait to go back. If we are blessed to have a few more warm days, we will be heading down to the beach.
