I wanted to write this down because it was so important to me when I heard it. Will was praying at church when he stopped and said the following:
Twice the diciples found themselves in the middle of the storm needing help. The first time Jesus calmed the storm, but the second time Jesus was just watching them in the middle of the storm from the shore. He walked out on water intending on walking by them without helping. I have asked God why would you just walk by when your children are in trouble. Finally he answered saying I have helped them in this very situation before, they should know I am able by now. My right hand is bigger than any storm. The first time was just to build confidence so when the storm came again they would know how to fight. So when you find yourself in a situation that you have encountered before, remember that the same God that rescued you the first has given you the power to overcome all that you face.
I just loved this because it is so true and the funny thing is the other day I said I have been down this road before and I don't know what I am doing here again. Well I guess this was my answer.
